Mánaflug - samvinna systra í skarti og flíkum! 10. í jólagjafatalinu.

Eftir að við systur ákváðum að sameina fyrirtækin okkar: Volcano Design og Kristu Design undir einn verslunarhatt: Systur & Maka, hefur samvinnan að sama skapi aukist.
Það vill jú verða að þegar verkefnin fara að deilast svolítið meira á milli þá aukast hugmyndirnar og við læðumst inná vinnusvið hvor annarrar en það er líka svo skemmtilegt og fjölbreytnin og vöruúrvalið eykst um leið!
Við gerðum til dæmis eitt sameiginlegt verkefni í sambandi við stjörnumerkin en Krista Design kom með yndislega falleg hálsmen með stjörnumerkjunum sem eru alveg frábær í persónulegar gjafir.
Ég kom þá með stjörnumerkjaprent sem að við notuðum á kjóla og ýmsar vörur sem og td. handstúkurnar okkar og klúta sem enn fást í búðinni.
Mánaflug - "Fly me to the moon".
Við prufuðum svo að vinna svolítið saman aftur þar sem að María kom með geggjaða skartgripalínu sem hún kallar Mánaflug eða "Fly me to the moon" en þessi blöndun á fjöðrum, mánum, tönnum og kristöllum fæddist svona í bland hjá okkur báðum, hún útfærði gripina svo á sinn smekklega hátt!
Til dæmis: TVÖFÖLD men td, ég bara tjúllast!!!
Hér blandar hún fjöðrunum við agate steina og armband í stíl! geggjað!!
Ég fór beint í að panta inn efni sem væru svolítið "mána-leg" og nú eru Vefju topparnir frá Volcano einmitt komnir í þessu falleg "tie die" efni en það er úr bambus og er svo mjúkt að það er eins og að klæðast skýi ég segi það bara og skrifa!
Eins er kjóll væntanlegur og hér má sjá smá "sneak peak" af honum.. (ég vona að hann náist inn fyrir jólin en ég lofa engu, elskurnar á saumastofunni eru víst að drukkna nóg úr veseni á mér nú þegar...)
Mánaflug: Ég fer alltaf að hugsa um jazz slagarann með Frank Sinatra og það er ekki annað hægt en að komast í gott skap við þetta lag!
Já er ekki gott að klára daginn með þetta yndislega lag á heilanum? :)
Ég minni svo á að netverslunin okkar er að sjálfsögðu ávallt opin og með því einfaldlega að smella á myndirnar hér að ofan opnast nýr gluggi þar sem hægt er að versla viðkomandi vöru :)

My sister and I used to have completely different companies: Volcano Design and Kristu Design and then we decided to combine the two under one "store hat" called Systur & Makar, meaning sisters and partners.
By doing that the collaboration has of course increased and we are now sharing ideas, mixing together projects and working in each others fields even. This is such a fun twist to our jobs and the amount of ideas grows as well as the variety of products!
We for example did a collaboration project surrounding the zodiac signs. She made these beautiful astrological necklaces which are great for personal gifts!
And I made prints for dresses and other accessories and the scarf's and hand warmers are still available!
"Fly me to the moon".
We did another little collaboration recently where María made this wonderful collection of jewellery called "Fly me to the moon", the carms are a mix of feathers, teeth, crystals and moons. This was the perfect collaboration of ideas and brainstorming and then she finished the outcome in her great talent!
For example these: double necklaces: I FREAK OUT!!
Here she mixes agate and feathers, so nice!!
I went straight to order some "moon-like" fabrics and got this fantastic tie die bamboo, and seriously it is like wearing clouds, it is so very soft!!
Plus there is one dress coming shortly and here is a little sneak peak: (I hope it will arrive before Christmas but I am not promising anything, I am drowning the seamstresses as it is..) Ahh the pressure of wanting EVERYTHING NOW!! ;)
Fly me to the moon, well of course this is always the first thing that comes to mind, and you can't help but feeling happy after listening to it! Frank: you are the best man!
It is great to finish of the day with this song on your mind right?!
